Community gardeners and the general public are invited to attend a workshop on Amelie Vanderstock's PhD studies into wild pollinator interactions with community gardens. Amelie will describe a variety of pollinators in our local environment, including the some 2000 known native pollinators. Amelie has collected data from a number of North Sydney Council community gardens, it is hoped this and similar studies may help us to learn about the importance of wild pollinators for food production and our natural ecosystems.
This interactive workshop involves citizen science and a guided walk through the community garden, please wear enclosed shoes.
