Preschool Workshop: Native Bees in the Garden

This interactive workshop introduces children to the exciting world of native bees through songs, games, nature- exploration and art making activities. They’ll explore the role of bees and other insect pollinators in our environment and learn how to create bee-friendly spaces, promoting curiosity and a deeper connection with nature in the preschool garden. This workshop can be adapted for preschools with or without established gardens.

Join Amelie and the Bee Band as they embark on a musical adventure through the concrete jungle. Can they overcome the mysterious flower-muncher with the help of gardening preschoolers? This performance will have children waggle dancing, singing like a choir of bacteria, and growing imaginary seeds of change in a story that captivates curiosity and care for our tiniest bee-ings. This science musical supports children’s development of communication and movement whilst centering the role of children as future leaders in environmental sustainability.
