Creating Native Bee Friendly Gardens!
Blue Mountains Cultural Centre
Wednesday 25 January 2023
10am – 11:30am for children aged 6 to 9 years
1pm – 2:30pm for children aged 10 to 12 years
Stingless bees, Blue banded bees, bees that burrow and bees that read?!… Who might live in your patch? And how can we make that space the best it can BEE? In this playful, interactive workshop, we will use games, music, nature exploration and art-making to discover the bees (K)needs! After an introduction to the diversity of native bees, we will discover where they live, and what flowers they feed on. Then together we’ll design gardens to support people and pollinators!
Extra info: Please arrive a few minutes early to check in at reception.
Bring with you: A water bottle in case you get thirsty.
